Boca Totes LLC (“Boca Totes,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates bocatotes.com and provides reusable moving tote rental services in Palm Beach and Broward Counties, Florida. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you visit our website or use our services.

We collect personal information you provide when you request a quote, place a booking, or contact us:
- Identity & Contact: First name, last name, email address, phone number
- Location: Delivery address, pickup address, city, ZIP code
- Booking Details: Package selected, desired delivery date, special instructions, gate codes
- Payment: Credit or debit card details (collected by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers)
- Communications: Messages or emails you send us
Information Collected Automatically
When you visit bocatotes.com we automatically collect technical data including IP address, browser type, pages visited, device type, and visit timestamps. This data is collected via cookies and analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Fulfilling Your Order: Processing bookings, scheduling deliveries and pickups, confirming order status
- Billing & Payments: Charging rental fees, deposits, late fees, and other applicable amounts
- Customer Service: Responding to inquiries and resolving disputes
- Service Communications: Sending booking confirmations, delivery reminders, pickup notifications, and invoices
- Service Improvement: Analyzing usage to improve our website, pricing, and operations
- Legal Compliance: Complying with applicable laws and legal processes

We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Service Providers: Trusted vendors who help us operate (payment processors, email delivery, website hosting) are prohibited from using your information for any purpose other than providing services to us.

With Your Consent: We may share your information with third parties when you give us explicit permission.
4. Payment Processing
All payment transactions are processed by Stripe, Inc. When you enter payment information on our site, it is transmitted directly to Stripe over an encrypted connection. Boca Totes does not store your full credit or debit card number. Stripe is certified as a PCI DSS Level 1 Service Provider — the highest available payment security certification.
We retain only the last four digits of your card, card type, and billing ZIP code to display your payment method in booking records and to facilitate refunds.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to enhance your experience. Cookies are small text files stored on your browser.
Essential Cookies: Required for the site to function (session management, cart persistence). These cannot be disabled.
Analytics Cookies: Help us understand site usage (e.g., Google Analytics). Data collected is anonymous and aggregated.
Preference Cookies: Remember your settings across visits.
You can configure your browser to refuse or alert you to cookies. Disabling cookies may impair some website features. Our site does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals.

- Active customer records: retained for a minimum of 3 years after your last transaction
- Payment records: up to 7 years per Florida record-keeping requirements
- Analytics data: 26 months per Google Analytics default settings
- Email communications: up to 2 years (longer if required for dispute resolution)
When no longer needed, we delete or anonymize your information securely.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Access & Correction: You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct inaccurate data.
Deletion: You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to our obligations to retain certain data for legal or tax purposes.
Marketing Opt-Out: Click “unsubscribe” in any marketing email or contact us directly. Opting out does not affect transactional messages about active bookings.
Data Portability: We will provide a copy of your personal data in a machine-readable format upon request where technically feasible.

8. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including HTTPS/TLS encryption, access controls, and PCI DSS-compliant payment processing. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach likely to create risk to your rights, we will notify affected individuals as required by law.
9. Children’s Privacy
Our services are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we have collected such data without verifiable parental consent, we will delete it promptly. Contact us if you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor.
